COACHING

At Mt Martha Netball Club, we value our coaching team and recognise the significant contribution they make to our players and the club as whole.

 

Our coaches support players build confidence, self-esteem and ability through their own positive role modeling and equitable treatment of all participants.

Our coaches provide a safe environment for their players which builds on skill development, tactical awareness, teamwork and enjoyment of the game. 

​

Our vision is to ensure all our coaches take a pathway of coaching development to undertake their role competently and in accordance with the Netball Australia skills development and coaching methodologies.

BECOMING A COACH

We are always looking for new coaches. Our coaches love what they do - and our club fosters a culture of continuing development.

 

Coach responsibilities:

• Plan and conduct one weekly training session that develop core netball skills

• Coach and direct the players at the weekly Saturday games

• Be a positive role model

• Create an inclusive environment to make netball fun and enjoyable for everyone

 

The club will support you with:

 

• Mentoring (at your request)

• Funding your participating in the Coaching Accreditation Framework with Netball Australia

• Access to online and printed resources 

• Ensuring you have a Team Manager who will look after administration of the team.
